The birth of Tier 1 is inextricably linked to the rise of Warrington Rylands 1906 FC. Since 2018, Rylands has risen up through the lower steps of the football pyramid to meet their local neighbours Warrington Town in the Northern Premier League. However, on-pitch success is always caveated with a myriad of sporting regulations, ground ratings and funding challenges that, unless navigated correctly, can lead to penalties as severe as relegation.
Using Rylands as a pioneer project, Tier 1 is a turnkey provider of sporting developments. Able to negotiate the small print of specialist sports projects, as well as open streams of funding with governing bodies such as the FA and Sport England, so that clubs’ investment can act as a catalyst for bigger and better accolades in sport.
For us, building isn’t just a literal term of construction. It’s something aspirational that signifies progress, growth, and even legacy, both on and off the pitch. The new brand encompasses technical elements of sport and construction, while contrasting this with hand-drawn elements in reference to the expression that sport is nothing without its fans. The messaging echoes this duality throughout, emphasising how the relationship between club and company can get you ahead of the game.

By tieing in the physical act of building, to the aspirational act of building, The Modern World were able to create a brand built on substance that goes way beyond construction (which is essentially what we do).
