Throughout the COVID pandemic, many restaurants turned to takeaway and delivery as a means of survival. Warrington’s legendary Donatello was no different, bringing over two decades of lovingly perfected Italian cuisine to dining tables across the town. However, as restrictions eased, demand remained high and the Donatello name continued to grow its standing. It was time for an heir to the Don’s throne.
It was clear that the experiences had by in-restaurant dining and fast-casual takeaways would attract very different audiences, so it was decided early on that a new name would separate the two offerings while also exposing both restaurants to new audiences. Don Quattro gives a nod to the parent restaurant, leveraging its reputation and referencing the four siblings to whom it’s been passed down through the family.
The new brand builds on the mystery and legend of Donatello. Through bold graphics and witty copywriting we’ve been able to add humour and satire to traditions that have become clichés, creating a brand world where, just like in real life, the Don’s reputation precedes itself.
Heavy may be the head that wears the crown, but the heir is ready and waiting.
