Refreshing Tripadvisor’s “Best Bar in Cheshire” is no mean feat, but after two years of trading, Bold Street House was taking steps to cement its title. As its reputation and offering were growing, the momentum it had created in the surrounding area was there to be seized upon.
What started out as a single brand refresh, quickly turned into the creation of a branded house with the addition of The Vault, a private dining and events venue located in the basement, and La Petite Maison, a lovingly restored Citroën H Van that serves cocktails with style.
The approach of a branded house means that all three brands carry the Bold Street House name, and with it, benefit from the award-winning reputation and cross-brand custom. From a visual perspective, it gave us the opportunity to reinforce the focus on quality food and drink across the venues through the use of ingredient-specific imagery. Being a branded house, the visual differences are subtle so that we remain consistent, but the varying uses of colour and imagery allow us to communicate in the tones that are best suited to each brand.
We loved our old branding, but over time, it felt as though we’d outgrown it and it didn’t truly represent us as a business anymore. Evolving and re-establishing our brand was a quick and efficient process and the outcome is something that we absolutely love.
